Dr.Kiernan graduated from the Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2002. During her time here she was awarded the student Achievement Award in Endodontics and her research project in Oral Medicine was selected to represent the University Dental School and Hospital in a competition, organised by the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, for the Leo Heslin Memorial Medal. This is a medal representing excellence in the field of Oral Medicine.
She subsequently spent some years working in General Practice in both the UK and Ireland and as a Senior House Officer in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital before setting up Belvedere Dental Care in 2006. During her time in the dental hospital she gained invaluable experience in Oral Surgery & Medicine, Emergency Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry. Dr.Kiernan is committed to continued professional development and was awarded her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008.
Her special interests include Tooth Whitening, having trained under Dr.Linda Greenwall one of the worlds leading authorities in Tooth Bleaching, and preventative Dentistry. As the mother of two young boys Dr.Kiernan feels passionately that it is her job to educate both children and parents about their oral health and dietary habits so that dental decay can be prevented.
Dr.Kiernan is a gentle and caring dentist who aims to provide excellent dental care to all the family. She is very concerned about patients attitudes and concerns regarding their dental health and takes great time and care in explaining all aspects of treatment so as to help alleviate these concerns.
BDS NUI, MSc(Endodontics) U.Lond. - Endodontist
John is from Blackrock, Cork and graduated from Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2002. Following his graduation he spent many years working in General Practice in both the UK and Ireland before setting up Belvedere Dental Care in 2006.
A special interest and a pursuit for excellence saw Dr.Browne commence a fulltime Masters Programme in Endodontics at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2009. On completing his Masters Degree and attaining a distinction in his Masters Research Project he returned to Cork and to Belvedere Dental Care where he has limited his practice to Endodontics.He takes referrals from dental practitioners throughout Ireland for routine or complex root canal treatments.
Dr.Browne undertakes all aspects of Endodontics including pain diagnosis, primary treatments, re-treatments (including instrument and post removal) and surgical treatments. He also has a particular interest in the management of Dental Trauma due to falls and sports injuries. All treatments are carried out with the aid of a dental operating microscope.
Dr.Browne's friendly, chatty disposition and caring manner immediately puts patients at ease and his expertise in pain management alleviates patients concerns in how this treatment is carried out.
BDS NUI, PhD, BSc.
Dr McMorrow received her Bachelor of Dental Science degree fron UCC in 2014. Prior to this she completed a BSc in physiology (2006) and Ph.D in respiratory physiology (2010) from UCD. During this time she gained numerous publications in both Irish and international peer reviewed journals.
Clodagh is a very friendly and caring dentist and loves creating a welcoming environment for all her patients. She is committed to continual professional development, regularly attending dental lectures and hands on courses to ensure she is up to date with all the latest dental treatments and products.
Clodagh is a keen sportswoman. As well as being a qualified tennis coach she was the Irish junior tennis champion and has represented both Munster and Ireland. She has run a number of marathons and represents Belvedere Dental Care in the local BHAA races around Cork.
Dr David O'Farrell

Dr O'Farrell grew up in neighbouring Ballinlough. He went to school in St Anthony's NS and Presentation Brothers College before attending Dental School at University College Cork. David prides himself in patient comfort which he does by creating a relaxing, friendly environment for his patients. He enjoys all aspects of Dentistry especially composite (white) fillings and cosmetic treatment.
David is a keen sportsman and plays hurling for the Blackrock senior hurling team. He also plays golf and squash and on the musical side, violin and piano.
Dental Nurse
Cathy is another of our dedicated dental nurses and prides herself on providing the highest level of support to our Dental Surgeons at all times. She strives to make sure all patients are completely comfortable and happy during their visit.
She is an integral member of the reception team and her friendly and enthusiastic manner makes her a very popular member of staff with the team and patients of Belvedere Dental Care.
